African & Global Groove
Afropop, highlife-inspired rhythms, soukous energy, percussion and call-and-response.
Global rhythm, organic sound, movement, and joyful cultural exchange—built for participation rather than passive entertainment.
Ecstatic World can move through a broad spectrum of styles while keeping a coherent dance journey. The emphasis is on musical variety, strong rhythm, positive energy, and respect for the cultures that inspire the music.
Afropop, highlife-inspired rhythms, soukous energy, percussion and call-and-response.
Acoustic guitar, ukulele, strings, singing, and participatory folk music.
Cumbia, samba, salsa-influenced movement and celebratory percussion.
Hand percussion, layered beats, body rhythm, and drum-circle energy.
Reggae, soca, island grooves, Polynesian-inspired dance energy and tropical rhythm.
The soundtrack can rise from grounding and warm-up rhythms into stronger dance waves, then return toward integration and connection. Ecstatic World can include guided movement, free dance, partner-free group participation, and moments for live percussion or strings.
Accessible rhythms invite breath, posture, mobility, and simple movement.
Higher-energy world rhythms create aerobic movement, laughter, and shared momentum.
Gentler music closes the arc with stretching, reflection, gratitude, and community.
Ecstatic World welcomes appropriate live participation—drums, hand percussion, guitar, ukulele, strings, voice, and other organic instruments—when coordinated with the event.
